We took our cat for her annual check up and vaccination and our dog to have a spot / lump checked. Both pets were extremely anxious but the vet took her time with great care to put them both at ease especially our dog who had to be pulled into the room as she was so nervous.

Unfortunately, after multiple visits and spending a significant amount of money, I lost confidence in the practice and have now left. I specifically chose this practice because they advertise themselves as exotic specialists, but sadly I did not feel that the level of care we received for my guinea pig reflected that. The whole experience felt very fragmented, with different concerns being discussed at different appointments rather than one thorough, in-depth assessment looking at the full picture and giving us a clear plan. This meant a lot of back and forth, with each visit being around a 40-minute drive each way. On one occasion, a covering vet even gave us a discount, likely after seeing how many times we had been back and forth. I felt more like a way of getting extra money out of me rather than them focusing on care. Even when getting antibiotics, I was told I had to pay a large amount for an entire oversized bottle rather than just being given the specific amount my pet actually needed. Worse still, I paid for scans to be done, only to ring a week later to check on the results. I was told they hadn't even been sent off yet and that they required a massive additional fee just to have them analyzed. I completely understand that complex cases do not always have straightforward answers, but after repeated appointments, different suggestions, and mounting costs, I never felt we received the joined-up, specialist guinea pig care I had expected. I would not return or recommend the practice based on my experience.

I am always a bit nervous when taking our Standard Schnauzer to see the vet, as he isn't so welcoming to people he doesn't know well. As usual though, once I leave him, he appears to behave and no major issues have been reported. The staff always deal with him in a calm and professional manner. The vets always give me clear diagnosis and treatment plans etc.

I telephoned at 5.30pm and they gave me an appointment at 6pm. I arrived at 5.45pm and was seen within 5 minutes. They sorted out my dogs nail and cut all the rest. Only cost £65 Excellent service and a very professional and friendly vet.

Little mix up with dates but quick to move things around and squeeze us in. Great place. Peter is a great asset to the team. Always great with our dogs. Best vets we have ever used.

If you value thorough veterinary care, I would not place your pet in the hands of this practice. I trusted this practice with my dog’s life, and that trust was misplaced. I took my dog to this practice after mammary lumps suddenly appeared. Despite my concerns, the examination was extremely brief and dismissive. I was told she was “fine” and that the lumps were most likely hormonal and related to her coming into season in the following months. No proper examination, diagnostic tests, biopsies, or follow-up plan were offered. Months later, after her season, the lumps were still present. I sought a second opinion from another veterinary practice. They carried out a thorough examination, immediately identified the lumps as suspicious, and performed biopsies without delay. These confirmed they were cancerous. My dog has since passed away. The fact that a serious and ultimately fatal condition was dismissed at this practice is devastating. I will always live with the pain of knowing that her cancer was not taken seriously when it first presented and that earlier investigation may have changed the outcome. Based on my experience, I have no confidence in this veterinary practice. I would strongly urge anyone whose concerns are minimised or dismissed here to seek a second opinion immediately.
