Sprinz & Nash describes itself as a three-branch companion-animal practice (cats and dogs) and lists services like pet wellness screenings and repeat prescriptions. Your structured clinic data also flags it as a veterinary nurse training facility and as providing emergency/urgent veterinary services (the website summary we have doesn’t add detail on how this works in practice).
From the latest reviews, decision-relevant positives are that some owners say they can “always be seen if there’s a problem,” and multiple reviewers single out reception and nursing staff as helpful. The main cautions are a few recent reports of conflicting information about procedures/medications, concerns about how some larger dogs are handled, and frustration with fees and repeat charging for follow-ups/short medication courses.

If you have a cat or a small dog, they're your Vets, otherwise avoid!! Constantly given conflicting information on procedures and on numerous occasions made to feel like we were a problem. On top of that when I asked for information on the side effects of a medication I was told to Google it! Many people that have large dogs avoid S&N because they just don't know how to handle them, which is an incredible shame. I would like to point out there are a couple of LOVELY veterinary nurses that we came across that were incredibly friendly and tried to help where they could however all their hard work was squashed by the constant change of information.

In my opinion they handled my situation very poorly. Reception and nurses great. Medication given by vet wasn’t suitable and caused sickness. Poor customer service from management. Be cautious.

Great service.

The only reason I haven't given this place 5 stars is because the carpark is small and manoeuvring & parking can be tricky at times. The vets & all the staff are very welcoming and courteous.

My experience of my last visit was poor: I opted for a lunchtime visit: 1:10pm because I work a 9-5 I was not seen until 1:55pm. I normally visit the Chinnor site which I have never had an issues with. I had to visit the Thame practice because of Chinnor being shut. I think Thame practice is overstretched and understaffed which is unacceptable for the fees Sprintz and Nash charges it's patrons. Lots of Sprintz and Nash customers come for the customer care rather than price. Since Mr. Sprintz left this has definatly changed. Customer care is not spamming you customers inbox with emails it's investing in your staff.

I recently took my dog to Sprintz and Nash after he developed an infection. After an initial consultation (£69), he was prescribed just three days' worth of antibiotics (£35) along with an anti-inflammatory (£38), which thankfully helped clear up the infection. I was initially happy to go in for the follow-up check-up, especially as I had taken out the Pet Plan Plus, meaning I wasn’t paying for the consultation out of pocket. However, it's important to note that without the plan — or if I were to cancel or move elsewhere — the follow-up would still have cost £69. At the follow-up, I was charged again (£35) for just two more days of antibiotics. I find this approach very frustrating. A standard five-day course of antibiotics should have been prescribed from the start. Instead, it feels as though the practice is more focused on generating extra charges at every opportunity rather than providing straightforward, effective care. Sadly, this experience has left me disappointed and questioning their priorities.

My wife has already reviewed these guys based on their care of her rescue hamsters, but after the last week with our new cat Bumblebee I need to add one as well. These guys have gone above and beyond looking after him, and I've never seen a vet where everyone from the reception to nurses to the vets themselves are so happy to see a pet. We got him from a local rescue that unfortunately neglected to get him bloodwork done and so it came down to us to identify the issues with him after adopting him. This has been a heavy cost on us but Spritz & Nash always did their best to minimise it without impacting Bee's quality of care. We've used previous vets around us that eventually got bought out by big groups and have gone downhill, and I hope this never happens with Spritz & Nash because the quality of care here is unmatched compared to other vets around, and they should remain proud of that.
